Just picked this up today. Now dies and a mould. Called Dillon for a conversion plate and their 32 H&R dies will not work for it. : (

7 Shot, Ruger rubber Hogue like grips and adjustable sights.

You can shoot the 32 H&R mag round in this revolver.  You can also shoot
32 S&W Long and short.

Finding 327 mag brass will be tough, that may change in the future if
the cartridge really catches on.

Thanks guys for your words. This is actually for my wife for valentines. Lee, Hornady, Redding and CH4D make dies for this. Brass is available at Midsouth Shooter's Supply and Midway. Everything is federal. I am trying to pick up a mould from the cast boolits list for this. It is the 327 SledgeHammer and weighs approximately 140 grains. LBT and of course Mountain Molds and NEI make stuff for this. I found a place in Montana to buy some different weight cast bullets from LBT moulds to I may try a few hundred of his.

I wanted her to have a kit gun for fishing. She loves to fish and takes her female friends with her. She has been tearing up the web looking for info and found tons. Ruger Blackhawk is out in this caliber and would love to see a convertible with a 32-20 cylinder. Gary Reeder can cut another cylinder.

I Skype'd her long distance and we had a video conference. One of her friends were over for dinner and they both were pretty excited.

p.s. Helluva lot cheaper than jewelry.

The ACP would require a moon clip I believe. What a looong distance for the bullet to travel down the cylinder before it hits the bore! lol! Akin to a 45 LC down a 460 S&W cylinder!

My Blackhawk runs .32 Auto just fine.
My GP100 does, as well (but I suspect thin rims would cause erratic ignition).

I generally only run hot loads in the "little guys" (.32 Auto and .32 S&W).  The jump to the throat is massive.  Light loads lose their gas seal, before the bullet hits the forcing cone (or, so it seems).  Performance is far from ideal.
For light loads, I use .32 S&W Long or .32 H&R brass, to reduce that jump.

You may find, as I did, that some shooters are very sensitive to the concussion from this 45,000 psi cartridge.  It took my wife nearly 2 years to fire full power loads without a flinch or immediate "I give up".
Now, her favorite load is 85 gr XTPs on top of 13 gr Lil' Gun in .32 H&R brass.  It's a 'reduced' load, but still has plenty of bark and bite.

When you start reloading for it, you'll have to assess your primer choice carefully.  Hot loads should be using Small Rifle primers, rather than Small Pistol Mag (or standard). For hot loads, I've had good luck with H110/W296, Lil' Gun, and Alliant 2400.

RCBS .32 H&R dies are also deep enough to accept .327 Federal brass. (And was the first brand to actually ream and label their dies specifically for the .327.   ...due to being part of ATK, no doubt.)

I'm a H110/W296 fan. Love the 2400 and No 9 also. I had to buy small rifle primers for my wife's new toy coming this spring. I like CCI 450s for the high pressure duty. She currently loads and shoots 45/450 Extreme/454 Casull. I kind of figured I would have to use small rifle primers with the hotter loads. Funny thing is, the Ruger 480 uses large pistol with a 48k psi limit. I know large vs small yadda yadda.

thanks for the info guys, and keep rolling in more,

Left an email with Federal today about 14 of their cartridges not firing from the American Eagle line. Their Premium line is fine. Let see how this play's out. It looks like the 14 do not have consistent primer seating depth. Some are proud, some not. All the fired ones are fine, although the primers do have a slight flat appearance with no pin cratering. I've never had this problem with any of my hand loads. Funny, this is factory stuff.

No they still wouldn't work. Waiting on Federal email.

Had some fun with 296 and Fed small rifle primers in this today. Pick up some Cast Performance gas checked bullets and wow. I love it. Can't wait to get the 327 SledgeHammer mould.

Got a phone call from Federal. They said it was a very old lot of ammunition produced with the 200 primer not 205. They are sending me two boxes of ammo for the 14 rounds! Oh yeah! I also told him to get busy producing brass as all the outlets are back ordered at this time.

I know they are using a proprietary powder and I told him I had no problem with SR4756 and Fed 100 and 200 primers. Liked the 100s better with my handloads. Also using a heavier weight gas checked bullet than their 100 grain jacketed. He acknowledged that the powder they are using and pressures involved where the reasons they use the small rifle primers.

Thanks for the info.

It's interesting that they said some of the older lots of ammo used SP Mag (200) primers, since Federal has made statements in the past about only using SR (205), since the beginning of the .327's development.

You know, I thought that too SquirrelHollow. When they called me I was expecting the worse like they would blame my gun or whatever. They did own up to the problem and rectified it. That's good. Honestly, I was ready for a fight! I remember when they used large rifle primers on the 500 S&W and that changed very quickly. Funny, I like large pistol for some of my lower pressure stuff.
