The handgun reloading process is outlined below step-by-step as it is applied on the bench. Once you have read your reloading manual and understand what each process is and why its important check out each video below in order.

Handgun Reloading Steps

Prior to putting the ammunition together you will have to select the appropriate components and have selected a published load appropriate for the cartridge and projectile you are going to load.

  1. Clean Cases
  2. Inspect Cases
  3. Sizing Cases and Depriming
  4. Flaring and Deburring the Case Mouth
  5. Priming
  6. Charging the Case
  7. Seating the Bullet
  8. Crimping (OPTIONAL)
  9. Inspect the Finished Product

After you have completed the reloading process record important load data information such as bullet weight, type, powder, powder charge, Primer, OAL. Also make sure as you are shooting your newly fired rounds that you record your results in your shooting log.
